Library Study Room Guidelines
General Guidelines
- All study rooms are available from the opening of the Library until ten (10) minutes before closing.
- Study rooms can only be reserved by IU Kokomo students.
- Reservations can be made Monday - Friday.
- Study rooms may be reserved in 30-minute increments, up to three consecutive hours per day, three times per week, per individual or group.
- When not reserved, including weekends, all study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Requests for exceptions to these guidelines can be submitted to the Dean of the Library, Yan He, yh4@iu.edu.

Facilities & Technology
- All study rooms include a table, chairs, whiteboard, and wall-mounted monitor.
- Whiteboard markers and erasers, HDMI cables, and other supplies are available for checkout with a CrimsonCard at the Circulation Desk.
- The second floor of the Library is the quiet floor. Users of second floor study rooms must adhere to this expectation or may be asked to move to a first floor study room.
- Report any issues with study room technology to the UITS Support Center or Circulation Desk.

Room Scheduling
- Reservations may be made by IU Kokomo students up to one week in advance, but no less than 24 hours in advance.
- Room reservations must be made using your primary IU email address as listed in the IU Directory. Reservations from other email addresses will not be approved.
- Use LibCal, IU Kokomo Library's booking tool, to make your reservation (iuk.libcal.com).
- A confirmation will be sent to the IU email address provided. This email will also include a link to cancel your reservation if needed.
- A daily schedule of study room reservations will be posted outside each room.
- Study room users without reservations must vacate the room when an individual or group with a reservation arrives.
- No-shows: if a room is not claimed within 15 minutes of the reserved time, the reservation will be cancelled and the study room will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for the duration of the originally reserved time.
- The Library is not responsible for unattended belongings. Materials left unattended in a study room for more than 15 minutes will be removed and taken to the Circulation Desk. High value items will be given to IUPD.
